Anton Sikuta: Solo Violin

Anton Sikuta: Solo Violin

Anton started violin studies in his native city of Bratislava, Slovakia. Following his soloist exam at the Bulgarian State Conservatory in Sofia under Peter Christoskov and further graduate studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria with the legendary Josef Suk, Anton served as Concertmaster of the State Opera Orchestra, Darmstadt, Germany for 20 years, during which time he also enjoyed regular engagements as Concertmaster of the Johann Strauss Orchestra, Wiesbaden and of the Frankfurt Radio Orchestra. Anton has traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia with concert ensembles, including the German Chamber Orchestra and the Viennese Opera Ball Orchestra, and has made numerous radio and television productions, recordings and CD’s.


Susan Sikuta: Violin

Susan received her B. A. from Harvard University, during which time she also studied violin with Roman Totenberg. After a fellowship year at Indiana University, she completed graduate studies at the Conservatory of Music in Freiburg, Germany. As first violinist of the Fandango Quintet, she won first prize at the International Chamber Music Competition, Bavaria, followed by her engagement as a first violinist with the State Opera Orchestra, Darmstadt, for 8 years. She has toured throughout Europe and Japan as orchestral violinist and chamber soloist.

Eugene received his Artist Diploma from the Curtis Institute of Music, Philadelphia where he studied with world-renowned cellist, Gregor Piatigorsky. Following his music studies, he performed with the Pittsburgh Symphony for several years. He has served as principal cellist of several orchestras, including the Naples Philharmonic for 11 years. Extensive chamber music tours throughout Europe with Eduard Melkus, Austrian violinist, and concert tours with Frank Sinatra.


Aurora Wells: Bass

Aurora is a Naples, Florida native. She holds a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Music with a Minor in Jazz from the University of Miami, Florida. She has performed with the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra, the Palm Beach Pops, Ellington's Jazz Club, Southwest Florida Symphony, and The Naples Players, and has enjoyed numerous engagements as musical director and conductor with theatre organizations in S.W. Florida.

Brice Gerlach: Piano

Brice Gerlach received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The Eastman School of Music and Indiana University, where he studied with L. Robert Slusser, Russell Saunders and Larry Smith. While at Eastman, Brice was awarded the prestigious Performer’s Certificate in Organ. He holds a doctorate in choral conducting from Indiana University. Brice is director of music at First Presbyterian Church and the assistant director and accompanist of the Philharmonic Center Chorales.


Michele Byrd: Soprano

Michelle received her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Indiana University where she studied with Walter Cassel, Roger Havranek and Paul Elliott. She is an active recitalist in the United States, and her recent European performances include the Classical Music Festival in Eisenstadt, Austria. Michele has appeared as soloist with the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra having sung Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Requiem and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, and has performed under the baton of Erich Kunzel and Jorge Mester, among others.
